Hi Chilli, welcome to the forum. Do you mind if I ask you a couple of quick questions? Who pays for the intial session? Are there any costs to the parents of the kids?
We will be using the same website, although we are waiting for the database of actors, presenters and extras to be uploaded. At present there are about 70 people registered under those categories, and the number is growing. We don't charge on top of the artist's fees, we take a commission from their fee. If you have any projects arising we could therefore work with the fees that you usually pay to your guys and take our commission from that.
Do let me know if you have a requirement that we might be able to help you with, and we'll certainly get some shots or showreels over to you.
Sorry, I forgot to mention, child actors do go through Chilli Kids, though they are not all registered on the Chilli Kids site as that side is mainly for modelling. Not a problem for cv's etc to be provided for roles though.
Not a problem, I'm always happy to answer questions. The parent pays for the test shoot. This is arranged between the parent and the photographer, before anyone starts thinking that I make my money from arranging shoots. I use a highly experienced independent photographer and studio for test shoots. Also, if a child already has recent professional shots that are of a high standard, and in keeping with the quality and style of shots on the website, then there is no reason to arrange a test shoot - as long as the photographer is happy to complete an indepth questionnaire so that I can assess how well they performed, puntuality, direction taking etc.
Hope this helps, but if you'd like me to send some information, just drop me a line.
Warm welcome to the forum.
Our son came third in a "cutest baby" competition on discovery health channel when he was 13months old. Was just an ordinary pic. We forgot about it and months later - he was on TV!
