Quick SEO and Links Question

SEO is a funny old business, links are very important as are the keywords, look on google keywords - it will give you a list of popular searched words however dont pick ones that are going to be highly contested, try to narrow it down if you can. Try to build links that are in a similar industry as yourself and avoid link farms. Remember google wants high quality links.

If you want an example of how important back links are use the search term 'click here' in Google and see who comes top. I read about this when I first started and it shows the power of backlinks.

Yeah, just grab a book or pick the brains of an SEO on basic tips and go with that. There's a lot of detailed stuff you can do on SEO, but no one really needs it. Focus on the basics, and go from there if you feel it's helping massively. Online is the way forward, but not to the extent a lot of companies would make you think!
