Default Do Bulk Email Senders Really Work

Does anyone here think that email blast senders actually send millions of emails to opt in recipitents?
Some say they can send millions for £25 or so.
It sounds to good to be true.
But if they actually send them it sounds like a fantastic way to get millions of web hits quickly. What do you think?
Are they legit and is it possible to send millions of emails?

They probably send millions of emails. But almost certainly they are not opt in.

When you opt in to an email list, it is for a specific email list, not one that gets sold to anyone to send their products to....

Don't add to the spam problem. Start your own opt in list for your market.

yeah I know what you mean,
I have a joke website and thought of using email to get it viral because people like a laugh at work and forward it to collegues and friends and imagine if they forwarded it it could be huge in days.
I wasn't intending to sell anything just a viral joke site that people can laugh at.
But do you think they actually send these emails at all?
These email blast websites have no way of showing whether they actually send a single email.
But they are tempting for my joke website.

    Totally Agree with Rob.

Go for quality email leads that you have collected yourself.

Try Twitter to promote your website.

Lots of people on Twitter like to RT good jokes and humourous webpages

But taking your point which I do do any of you think they actually send that number of emails.
Are they just scams which claim without doing anything. I googled scam bulk email senders and some people say they are scams but they are so tempting.
Do you think they are plain scams. One even says it can send a billion emails!!!
I didn't think there were that many email addresses in the world,
Are they for realin your opinions?

It's irrelevant whether they actually send them or not, it's spam, most of it won't get through users spam filters and the few that do get through will be mostly ignored anyway.

You might even be lucky and get your domain blacklisted for sending spam.

They are scams. You can send millions of emails but not for £25. You need some serious hardware to do it legitimately. Even if a company could do it for £25 they would all end up in the spam folders and you will get no hits.

If you want true bulk mailing for cheap you have to rent a botnet. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programme...ne/7932816.stm but that's illegal.

    Yeah thats what I thought.
After all if it was true many more people would use them. But adwords promote them and if they are scams adwords is promoting scams.
I just thought it would be great for a viral joke site with funny pictures and an adsense about jokes.
I thought they were too good to be true but adwords shouldn't promote scams.
They probably don't send a single email.
    Thanks for your views.

Don't do it. If anyone had a responsive email list that had that amount of recipients then they certainly would not be selling access to it for $25.

At best you will get ripped off for the money - at worst you will get reported for spamming, your domain black listed, you'll get reported to your host, reported to your ISP or your website attacked by someone who is annoyed.

As has been said, the only way to collect an email list is collect it yourself using the legally required double opt-in methods in the UK.
