I read this blog post as part of the blog a few days ago and while my thoughts were matching many here, it did also occur to me that there was more relevant content in the blog post than seen in the sales copy and that with tweaking it could be useful in that regard.

It did occur to me that the copy was written with a certain type of reader in mind.

I think the OP should pop along to my blog

    http://www.creativeblogger.org

For ideas on how to write blogs both in terms of structure, interest and lure.

ie short paragraphs, bullets, images and of course

    'tell a story'

    Good luck

That's really useful, thanks. I've blogged for some time on football and feedback has always been good. I'd never before blogged on business though so it's useful to see what someone with more experience of this field has put together.

The thing about blogging about business is that it can be Boooooooooring if you're not careful.

My content on my personal blog is all mixed up, here are some samples you may find useful in terms of making dull topics interesting.

Headlines needn’t give you frown lines

I have found best results my mixing it up.

Some posts are mini articles where the reader actually receives something of value, some are aimed at seo (and I have generally a good hit rate) and some are just rants.

Whatever, constant update is the key - leaving it fallow is a good way to get rid of visitors...

Mixing it up and keeping it fresh.

Sound advice and a route to follow.

My mixing it up is kinda different chaps

    Articles on

how men can walk in high heels to

    how to promote your blog

Not really in the same niche

But that is my personal blog and I imported a ton of content from my other blogs hence more mixed up than I'd recommend

I'd look into some basic blog writing, line hooks, drawing people through... there's load os pages on how to write a good blog, read some of those and take the advice. Also, look into some journalism and how to write articles, it's very similar and will help you massively. Get colleagues to read it and ask them how far they read before they switch off. That's the point of these things!
