Advice Needed Please

Hi,

I am in need of some advice, we have setup a website aimed at a niche holiday market, initially it was designed as an affiliate marketing site, it is now getting a high number of hits but not really converting into sales. i think this is because it is not personal enough and is selling holidays for groups of people, therefore they need time to decide on what that want to do and consider their options.

i want to partner with a travel agent so that visitors can request a brochure, see special deals and have custom holiday quotes made for them, and that company deal with all post-sale admin etc, and pay a commision on slaes to me.

i want to partner with a travel agent as i cannot commit the time, nor have any idea about setting up a travel agency.

I'm 100% passionate about the idea as i really think i'm onto a winner, but the problem i have is finding a travel agent to team up with.

do you guys have any idea about who/how i should approach someone in the travel agent market?

You say a high number of hits.

Can you elaborate slightly and indicate your definition of high and are these 'hits' UV's?

Are you generating a high volume of the wrong traffic? Maybe it's not converting because a lot of the traffic is not the right sort you should be getting. Examples of this is shoving your links out to any old place, getting any old traffic, thus low conversion. Check your keywords to make sure search engines aren't driving useless traffic.

Much better to get lower number of visitors that of the right sort which then converts better. So before anything, look at where your traffic is coming from.

Thats the key...why are they not converting? Is the website putting people off?

High traffic not give a sale on affiliate programs! Sale can give only targert marketig group which interesting in information in your site! In Russian internet I have a site with very good traffic but results is low becouse I have not inough good affiliate programs for type of my site in Russian and use programs from other marketing groups. So results is not good! Now I make English version of this site where enough affiliate programs and I think it will more batter.
If for examle your site about coffe - you can use affiliate programs from coffes companies, tea companies, manufacturers of utensils for coffee and all thing which continiue idea of your site!
