Hi Tom

I like the layout and the flow and agree with the content generally as I wouldn't know any different but couple of things stand out for me
* What is the conclusion - what should someone do next?
* There are a few flying commas in the wrong place ie is'nt and for me even though it is a teeny-tiny thing it then gives doubt about the overall professionalism/content/reliability of information.

Hope that helps and gets the ball rolling with more replies

I dislike blogspot for the reason the themes are limited and dowdy.
And that alone reduces readership.

I think own hosting your blog in wordpress is a far better idea - also because of the tools available for SEO etc etc.
And if you have cpanel/fantastico you can do it in seconds.

re the post....presentation lets down what is to be fair...a chatty and interesting post which is what it needs to be.

- to get better readership you need to include a photograph in most of the posts....go to fotolia or istockphotos and enter a "mood" - such as happy .....surprised etc, and you will get a range of photos to choose from - in that post find some photographs that say "confused"

- use also provocative subheadlines... to break up the text..dont go more than two paras without one

- I have observed that some classes of post get higher readership....
"the three reasons why.... four mistakes..... a survey of"...... or titles with power words "Shocking...astounding....remarkable...lover , hate DONT! etc

- A call to action is always usefull... even if just a call to pick up the RSS feed for your blog -something for a sign up is better
