Email Marketing How Often?

With the way technology is being constantly updated with new products and promotions we have decided to design and implement a customer news letter with updates and promotions,
What I would like to know from you guy's is how often do you think we should send this,
I personally thought that once a week is too much but once a month is too little so do you think that fortnightly is ok,
Your feedback will be much appreciated,

well the way my current website situation is, it will be once every two years

But, no my favourite shop Fat face send theirs out monthly and tbh I would get cheesed off with anything more than that, so guess that's where I put my level at.
