    Hi websiteking

    Great tips, meanwhile

    Understanding how people read when using the Internet is a massive part of 'how to write website content'.

    People don't read Internet content the same way that they read a book. Far from it.

    A few short rules :

    * Keep paragraphs very short

    * Use bullet points

    * Use bold

    * Keep it 'simple'

    One of the best sets of articles anyone can read on this topic is here

    This is my Bible

    From the linked source:

    "
    • highlighted keywords (hypertext links serve as one form of highlighting; typeface variations and color are others)
    • meaningful sub-headings (not "clever" ones)
    • bulleted lists
    • one idea per paragraph (users will skip over any additional ideas if they are not caught by the first few words in the paragraph)
    • the inverted pyramid style, starting with the conclusion
    • half the word count (or less) than conventional writing "

    Yup, but sparingly. Lead the visitor down the page do not bombard them with BOLD TEXT

    Depends on the subject matter. You cannot broad brush all content for sites but you can observe good practise.
