Anyone here send mail shots via post by the thousands? Whats the procedure? print, envelope stuff, stamp/frank and post?...thousands?

One of our printing partners have just invested in a machine that will fold, envelope stuff, stick and frank - entire process on one and can handle multiple amounts of literature.

How would I market this service as added value?

Yep

One of our clients complained that the hard work was not over for them (after a long design process of flyers) as they had to envelope stuff 10,000 leaflets. Our printing partners then told me..."why didn't you ask...". I was shocked when I found out.

I don't think they realise how much of an opportunity they have to market this "added service..."

why put lyers in envelopes? why not use postcards? or was that dearer to print that way?

The campaign was to update their client base with new products/services so what went in the envelope was quite detailed.

What a cool machine! and one im sure many, many people would use the services of.

Ill bet not that many people outside of printing know you can even do that

the company I last worked for had a machine that packed A4 magazines into a plastic wrapper thingy with printed clients address labels, but it didnt do normal envelopes.

Will this mean an end to all those jobs you see annoyingly advertised all over roundabouts, signs, railings etc - the ones that are tantamount to slave labour in what they pay!
