What does Viral Marketing mean?

The actual definition is 'any advertising that propagates itself' i.e. its a form of word of mouth.

Usually viral marketing comes in the from of computer games which are emailed to a mailing list and then people forward to their friends, who then forward it on and so on. There are other forms too but that was the easiest to give an example of.

It basically means people talk about your company - with a clever mechanism it's very effective - problem is that it's quite hard to control because you have to rely on other people a lot.

Getting your business on Youtube, Facebook, Myspace etc is classed as video marketing. Get people talking about your product or services. Its doesn't cost a lot to make a video for example and place it on Youtube. Quote your website on there. Gain lots of viewers and that will inevitably drive traffic to your site. I guess that you will have lots of potential viewers in the US. Laura - do you have US clients?

Just done a quick search on Youtube for "cloth nappies" and this came up CLOTH NAPPIES

One video clip had just under 30,000 views on it. Imagine how many orders you could gain from that Laura. You'll need to look into warehousing
