Default Kickstart marketing

What would be the best way to kickstart marketing?
I have a small budget and I am not sure what would be the best way to spend it.
-Press release
-Professional SEO eg link building?
-Advertising
-Something else I've not thought of

What so you think?

(1) Use ppc to ensure your site converts, then armed with those conversion stats approach joint venture partners who have a big email list of your sort of prospect in return for a share of the profits.

(2) Use article and social media traffic....in both cases give great information about your market ( not a pitch for the product) .. BTW...many top internet marketers dont give a stuff about SEO, they do it all with article traffic

(3) and here is an unusual strategy that really works. Create a great saleable ebook on skin care, but dont sell it. Offer it to a site like tom huas "ebookwholesaler.com" who will pay you for it. Thousands of sites will pick the ebook up to sell, and the book has links back to you!!! I network with one internet marketer who reckons he gets about 10000 uniques a month just from the one guide.

Total costs in above...peanuts....

(4) Viral spread....again offer a rebrandable free guide that has a back end offer on the thank you for the sign up, then give people the tools to spread the book to friends..in return for a share of the profits, if any buy the back end offer.

Some great scripts are out there to do this.......low end the "$7 script" - high end is MVS.

If you can get a PR Agency or Marketing expert on board, Vicky or Andy would be a good start

I would go for a press release but save money by doing it yourself and use one of the many many free step by step press release guides... such as ours:
http://www.10yetis.co.uk/newsletters...s-release.html
:-)

My two penneth is to probably avoid viral if you are looking to "kickstart" your marketing and want an immediate return.
When starting out most people need something with an immediate impact and viral traditionally takes a few months to get going and then flies like the wind... but the first few months can be frustrating whilst waiting for shizzle to happen.

Hope this helps.
