Making A splash or a Big Bang!!

Need some ideas (actually I have loads but they all involve lots and lots of money and are not suitable at all)

In the next few months my NEW website will be replacing my current one, now it is a bit special and I am branching out into the gift market. I don't want the launch to go with a plonk so am looking for some ideas on how I can market the launch of the new look Little Black Cauldron.

Any ideas?

Can you tell I'm jumping up and down continuosly as I am soo excited

Sure many will give you lots of ideas......how about a discount or loyalty card scheme or even maybe something free for 1st say 50 orders...doesnt have to be big thing.....a discount card for 10 or 20%?

More than happy to provide you with some cards................have some nice black ones that look awesome with silver on them

That's a great idea - I was looking at offering a free product to all orders over £20 hence my earlier Canvas bags question.

But I like the idea of making a buzz and offering a percentage off for the first say 20 customers.

I wish I could bottle my excitement and sell it I would be a millionaire for sure

Ohh and I am looking at having some of your cards for my beauty biz, but that will need to wait a couple of months

I'm putting together a free promotions goodie bag for families....aiming to contain a magazine and goodies promoting deals etc for local and national businesses.....I know this doesn't help you...but if there was one about would you advertise in it?

just thinking off the top of my head....so most of it might be drivel but here goes...........

i know its not just about halloween but it will be here before you can shout "boo"........so for starters id be working on publicising and building relationships with journo's from womens magazines in the build up to that........that is a good way to get them to look at what you have to offer.....its certainly different.......and they do like to be prepared for future publications........

press releases about relevant dates....is there anything witchy about summer/autumn that you could publicise ?

do you have a witchy name (if there is such a thing)?? try marketing yourself rather than the site...? offer to do talk shows on radio......etc

i remember an antique shop in our town from when i was a kid.....rumour was that it was owned by a witch....i was scared ****eless of the shop...but it became known as "the witches shop" and was always being talked about and did very well...i saw the "witch " once.......she had jogging bottoms on and trainers....i was confused !!! lol

do you sell witchy fashions ? if not, add a couple of things to the site just for promotional purposes......again - press releases......it doesnt matter if they sell or not, its something a bit different......a witchy fashion spread in a magazine at halloween time would be unique......obviously not cloaks or whatever, something ppl could incorporate into their own wardrobe.....

write articles...something about the harry potter films, how to woo a lover, etc...submit to journo's......one may just catch their eye....

i think the website launch is secondary to who you are and what you do..a website launch isnt that exciting as news, but what you do and what you sell is..i'd push to become a celebrity

..im sure it will go really well.......
