Make it a separate point......the test is , does it read out loud smoothly?.....and I think that para just got too complex.
finally....
You must make a specific offer in the letter, and a reason why it has to be now!
For example you could say......
"Got a cold case file to turn into money... if you could only track
someone down?
- well just for the next two weeks, weve got a couple
of spare slots in the calendar so give us some background information, and we will spend an hour to write you a plan of how to find whoever
has gone! - completely free of charge!
and of course, the report you send sells your services to do it....
- or an offer for "june special...the second process we serve is FREE!"

and make it time limited the life time value of a solicitor
client must be vast compared to a couple of hours.
Like any missile, a sales letter needs a warhead!!

Also something else I havent talked about, attaching an attention grabbing object to the letter eg a picture of someone with a name below and print title MISSING and then a hand scrawled cross with the words Now Found!! in simulated felt pen..
Better still whatever your industry uses to send a FAILED service notice back to the client...attach a copy ...with a scrawled cross to say "Now Found and Served!, by salgado"
Attention grabbers make a big differenc.
Suggest several things.
(a) Send out two different versions and test - a different headline, with or without grabber. Two different offers - see which offer the punters like
Always test something.
(b) Send out 50 of each and give it spin. Work on the conversion before you up volume -
