1. Target the local maternity Wards
2. Generic Marketing across the spectrum
With this in mind and coupled with i think I have a decent layout planned....well at least for the generic whereby i hope to design a poster that shows the distinct phases of life (much like the phases of the moon)
Graphic will depict pictures of
Baby
1st School Photo
Graduation photo
Wedding Photo
Baby photo
This encompasses the defined moments in life
I now need some strong copy and a strapline......Very quickly off the top of my head I have the following
1. See how they grow
2. From Baby to baby
3. Where does the time go
4. For those cherished moments
5. From birth to Aisle
6. A family occasion
Would appreciate the members inputs on this please
Regards
Pete

I will be ordering keepers cards from you as soon as I sort my pics out - mine is a slightly different market - a picture of my dogs (people spend a fortune on pet stuff) and some of me & my boyf on our hols.
have you thought about targeting the pet shops (chubs) and the photographers, go direct to source.
This idea has been bouncing about.
An added twist I think would work, is to sell these cards - not just as something to sell , but as a viral marketing aid to photographers....they are cheap enough to send out with production photos, but would act as a marketing aid for the photographer if people really did carry them and showed them to others.....complete with the photographers name (and petes!!)
So if the photographer offered to send out 5 of the cards DIRECT to friends/family of the one who commissions the baby photo, it really could go viral for pete and the photographer
And I think that logic with good copy could sell the idea to the photographers...and because they have a perception that advertising is expensive , the cost of these cards will sound cheap
Those apples to oranges comparisons for value really do help copy to sell.

Pete - if the pet market looks attractive, maybe talk to Nina the Pet Nanny - she might be able to promote keeper cards to her cleints.
Flyers in Vets is another idea - I know when I was at the vets last week I was flicking through all the flyers & mags on the table during my 20min wait.
