Try JC Decaux for billboards, street furnture, etc.
I did a 20-site street furniture campaign for 2-3 weeks. Cost £6k plus the deisng and printing of the posters which was another few hundred quid or more (cant remember exactly how much).
This sort of stuff is mostly used for strategic branding, particular to introduce a new product or service, such as Virgin's braodband, Sky, Dove, Business Link; i.e. those with wedges of budget to use either on a local basis or nationally.

Just slap it on the back of the county ground one night, when no-one is looking!!
Or, if you want to do it a bit differently, my Husband (now a new member; fantasycouriers) knows of a supplier that uses OHP's and printed glass globes, which project your advert etc onto any well placed building. (i.e. the county ground) The kind of thing that FHM did with Gail Porter on the Houses of Parliament (if your a bloke, you'll remember!!).
You can hire the OHP equipment for quite a reasonable costs, and the globes I think are between £100 & £200 per advert. And it's mobile. The only thing is that it's a autumn/winter project rather than a summer thing.
Yes Kind of, but all your need for this one, is a base (car, van, someone's front room), and electrical source, and your printed globe. It's static and soundless, and costs probably about £400 all in (if you're hiring the equipment, i think it costs about £4k to buy the projection equipment), and is totally reusable and portable.
ah right - i was ijn the sea life centre in blackpool a couple of years ago and they had this shell of a head of Zeus and from inside projected his head moving and the total illusion was that his head was actually moving
