Hi all, we're just about to launch a neat new project with the theme of "free". That is, everything we sell in our online shop costs zero. Obviously, we're a non profit.
We're working with some big name artists, and have agreed already exposure in some big name industry magazines.
What we are looking for is a PR company who want to lend their services to us, in return for the good PR that will no doubt come from working on this project.
The scope is there, and the groundwork is already built, now we need someone who wants to use this project as a case study or portfolio piece and really ramp up it when it launches.
Please get in touch if you think this sounds up your street. pr@obvious.ie
when you say 'obviously we are non-profit' do you mean you are a registered charity of a company limited by guarantee, running a social or community enterprise? i.e. What is your official status as far as HMRC is concerned?
I know its not direct to your question, but what you mention just threw up a thought for me in that, just becasue a business does not charge, or does not take a salary, dividend, etc, does not make you what is officially known as a not-for-profit.
Obviously if you are registered as one of the above, then ignore this post! (Not that it wont be useful for someone else reading!) but I dont want people to read and think that if they run a business and dont charge it automatically makes them a legal not-for-profit status business and so 'have nothing to declare'.
