    Default B2B Marketing

What do you believe the best form of marketing is?

    Telesales to opt-in businesses
    Flyers into local businesses
    Letters to businesses
    Face to Face business

It depends entirely what you are selling and how easy it is to discover a need, as well as articulate a solution.

You should also add face to face and online networking to your list too. Our B2B network creates introductions which can lead to business too.

    Default Best form of marketing

I wouldn't say there is a best form. You need to do some of all the 'Marketing Mix'.

But promotional gifts make an excellent addition to the ones you mentioned on your list. They can be used in many different ways to ensure you get the response you require. For example they can be used along with telesales, direct mail, at shows/exhibitions or as 'thank you' gifts for your exsisting customers. Using 'thank you' gifts really works as we often get referrals from exsisting customers after we give them a special gift.

    Morning,

Our Gorgeous Office website has a section called The Office Directory where businesses can advertise their services on. Not only does this provide great visibility to our visitors but also provides a valuable link direct to their website.

We also find the competitions we host in our Lunch Hour catergory are a very useful way for businesses to advertise to offices and companies. Most people love the chance to win something and at the same time it gets the companies brand name known.

Running a web design company, I find face-to-face networking (which could also be referred to as marketing) is by far and away the most effective way to pick up clients. I believe this is because the web design industry is:

    a) A service that every business owner requires
    b) Based on trust

I agree with Ian - for best results use a combination of marketing, PR, and sales methods and activities. Everybody makes decisions in different ways, so the more ways of getting your message out there that you have at your disposal, the more chance of success you have.

    Yes.

That said, a very easy way to boost your profile is to collect together endorsements from existing customers. Not only will these help win the confidence or new prospects so you can do a better job of converting new leads, but it also gives you a chance to get yourself recommended out to your existing customers' network. Easy to do and cheap, with benefits at many levels. And where there is trust already a sales is always easier to close.

Oh, if only there was a website that made all this endorsement collecting and sharing easier...
