    Default Customer Street

I run anethical search engine optimisation business from Norwich, Norfolk, UK. I cannot believe the techniques used by Customer Street in order firstly to get business and secondlycreating websites which are crammed full of spurious keywords. The search engine optimisation business is full of companies who will tell you that they can get you to number one in record time. This is simplly not true. There are no guarantees. However, our business is shrouded in smoke and mirrors and companies which offer these services seem to have an uncanny knack of talking the price up on the basis of you don't actually know what you are paying for. This is one of the subjects where business network referrals don't cut it, because the person who referred you may not actually know whether his results are good or not. I will qualify this. There are various tools available to indicate whether the keyword you are using is valuable and has a chance of producing business for you, once your site is found. I had a guy here the other day and he was a Customer Street customer. He told me that they had got him to number on Google for the term "carpet home service fitter bury st edmunds". I congratulated him on this, but then I checked with him the amount of people who had searched for this term in the past 12 months. Surprise surprise, nobody!...Suffice to say he was not happy.

I have been with Ufindus/Customer Street since 2007 and have been trying to get out of the contract since then. It was only when I threatened them with legal action that they agreed to cancel my account from September this year. they still seem to think that I owe them £69 though.....!

Whatever you do DO NOT get involved with them. They have taken my money built a very poor website and I have never ever in nearly 3 years, got any work as a result of using them.

One ply that they used was to give me two domain names that "would be guaranteed to work". Not a sausage from either of them.
