don't use #FollowFriday and #HumpdayHotties tags in your posts, especially on a Friday or Wednesday.
I can't take twitter seriously. Most people who follow me are just looking to sell something. I guess they hope that if they follow others, those same people might follow them.
James,
I totally agree with your comments that there are lots of people out there that just try to build up a massive list of people following them so that they can continually pitch their products.
I was very skeptical about Twitter when I first started as per my original blog post.
Should I use Twitter for Business ?
However after a number of months using Twitter I have now found out how to use it usefully for my business. I basically make use of the very good search & filter tools in Tweet deck. I explain it in my recent blog post and there's also a video showing exactly how I use it effectively.
Twitter as a Serious Business Tool

What are hashtags?
I've recently just joined twitter and need all the help I can get. Thanks
Kev
For my part, I follow someone who is more into conversations. I hate those who twit too many times in one hour and then ignores all replies!
I have been using it for about a month now, and am still getting to grips with the potential it offers. I am sure that if I use it more, I will understand all the benefits that it offer??
I also saw this post which just shows the power of Twitter: TV star busts AT&T bill with Twitter
