Yes. That's a classic trick of spammers to sign up for many accounts and then tweet about one things from all their accounts.

RT retweets someone elses message. The more you retweet, the more likely someone is to retweet for you. If you retweet, your message comes up mutiple times and is spread to a wider net of people. If there's a link in your message, you could double your click-through rate!

On the thread topic, here's something not to do on twitter: unfollow people who follow you. There is no point. Always follow as many people as possible, any chance for them to follow you back is great, and don't jeopardise that by unfollowing people who follow you! Unfollow those that don't follow you back, that's fine, but definitely keep your net of followers and people following you tight!

Does anyone receive regular business enquiries from Twitter? as I guess thats why everyone is doing it. I am dabbling but have to admit it is a bit of a time thief and I feel I might be wasting my time!

I have not as yet that I know of had any business enquires, but what I do know is that the hit count to my site has increased as a direct result of Twitter.

Well rot my socks!! I have just had my first enquiry that has lead to business. So looking at the effort put in, the result has been worth it.

Increase in site visitors and a deal.

Mind you I do only put relevant things for people to read. I DO NOT talk about; how hot it is, just taking the dog out etc. Just pure facts on my subject.

My worry is it will go the way of the email newsletter. No matter how interesting it is no one cares (predominently as everyone is so intent on proving how expert they are at their own subject). How long will twitter last as a viable platform to win business? I sound a bit negative but am not convinced in the long term value as I think its all a bit 'emperors clothes'
