Happy to help where I can....you thought of maybe getting some celebs to ride a small distance with you? not sure best way to go about this but I have a few contacts with my work with Wish Upon A Star who might be able to help I would imagine that Leukaemia research would have contacts for celebs if required Regards Pete

Hmm, thats an interesting idea!
I do have a plan of passing through my home town (where the local cause is) and having a load of people do a one day ride through the county as a group, this way some of the locals can get involved, get their own sponsorship (using my forms so it all goes in the same tin) and hopefully increase the profile of the ride. There was a planned ride this year which i think has now been postponed in order to support mine, so all those who were doing this shorter ride, will hopefully join me riding through Northants. I then just need to keep motivated enough to not stop at home, but carryon another 5 or 6 hundred miles! I hadnt considered the celebrity angle, the only downside i can see is that it may restrict me to certain timescales to be in a place at a certain time. I only have a finite time to complete the ride as i will be already taking lots of time away from my business to do this. Im all ears though if you have further thoughts on this. Andy. Andy.

Just wanted to update this thread as things are moving on,
firstly, sorry i didnt reply Pete, i didnt see there had been another post on this thread. (this place moves so fast, you go away for 5 mins and theres a squillion new posts when you get back!) Thanks for your offer, i am already talking to three separate people who have done the ride though so getting more advice than i can take in and remember! Thank you to Col at Pixelsink, for offering to do me a logo, first ideas look great and i cant wait to see the updated version!  im going to link to the site now, its still a way off from how i would like it, but i want it to start getting some visitors so pleeeese go visit!!  www.pedaluk.co.uk Lastly, anyone on here who can help with low volume business cards? just after a few (maybe couple of hundred) that i can put info about the ride and hand them out. when i say can anyone help, i mean can someone do these v cheap (or less!)  <guilt trip> Its a cheeky request i know, but if you dont ask you dont get. its for very good causes, and you will get that warm feeling inside that you have done your bit!! </guilt trip> Andy.
