Right, I just wrote this whole thing and then lost it because I didn't remember I couldn't post a link yet! Gaaah!

What I was saying was that on Saturday my mum and I did a 20km sponsored walk across the Sussex Downs for the charities of our choice, in my case the World Land Trust. I'm not normally a recommendations kind of person but we had such a fabulous day and it's so well organised that I really thought more people should know about it!

We didn't do loads of training, but it was totally manageable, the scenery was stunning, and there were three stops with lunch, snacks, loos and medical assistance available. (If you're super keen there's a 60km walk which goes on into the night....)

What I liked is that you can choose what charity you'd like to support and there's a really great vibe to the whole thing.

Obviously not allowed to post link, but if you Google Just Walk it comes up first. They organise walks in other areas of the UK too so worth checking if there's one near you. I really do recommend it as a fun and worthwhile thing to do, and now I want to do more exercise so that can only be a good thing!

I am still wanting to register as a charity. But you have to have £5,000 in the bank (which I don't) and then it can take up to six months. So at this rate we will be a charity when I'm 90!

I hate waiting I want to be up and running now!

I've done a fair bit of walking, usually over big mountains and lots of miles , so I totally get the walking thing, if you keep it up, you might get addicted (I said I wouldn't, but somehow....)

Yes, it's a beautiful shop in Hastings Old Town. I often buy gifts for friends and family from here, as they are so unique.
