Hi folks,

I would welcome comments for the attached certificate I have produced for Sarah. I am unsure on the copy or if the fonts are correct

Sarah is quite happy with the background, just unsure of the copy/font

Just a small comment initially... shouldn't "stared" be "starred" (i.e. not looking at something intently with fixed eyes)?

EDIT: Glenn beat me to it by one minute!

Some more thoughts... the phrase "with thanks" is repeated twice. Not sure that works. Also, I IMHO think (and it is difficult to be sure without trying it) that if the second block of text ("Presented with thanks..." is to be a sans-serif then it shouldn't be the same weight as the block above the script text.

I agree - that would be much better.

The reason I was saying about the boldness of the second block of text is because the script text in between looks trapped by the top and bottom blocks, but that is probably just my opinion. I am sure it is not a big issue.

I wouldnt have the bottom 'Oldham Carnival' upside down as the leaflet isnt something that will be read upside down.

thats what the concern is Glenn.....the participants vary i believe from indiduals to groups

trying to cater for all in a generic statement
