I'm with Nina all the way on this , It saddens me that people feel the need to make animals suffer in the name of Art and all I can say is that these monsters not people will get theres as what goes around

That's just a horrible thing to do! I can't even believe he was allowed to do that the first time. He puts artists to shame...

but ...

There are lots of crackpots around. And if one of them came up with a stupid idea like this "artist" did surely to goodness the gallery and are the biggest culprit for allowing this horrible event to happen. They should be punished equally imo

They called it an art? That was the most ridiculous and absurd art I have ever heard. I have signed, here's my number 2564281.

That's not an art it was animal cruelty and I was disgusted by such kind of act.

The dog wasn't actually starved I don't believe it was fed and allowed to drink. They wanted to see people's reactions I think.

Cheers,
Ben

Another take on it taken from Wikipedia

Juanita Bermúdez, the director of the Códice Gallery, stated that the animal was fed regularly and was only tied up for three hours on one day before it escaped.

Vargas himself refused to comment on the fate of the dog,but noted that no one tried to free the dog, give it food, call the police, or do anything for the dog.

Vargas stated that the exhibit and the surrounding controversy highlight people's hypocrisy because no one cares about a dog that starves to death in the street
