PPC Negative Keyword/s

Hi can any body advise me please?

I frequently trawl through the search terms that trigger my AdWord adverts to be displayed looking for words and phrases that dont match my criteria.

When entering Negative Keywords against a particular campgain is ok and does it work if I load my negative key words thus when appropraite for my needs?

-"keyword phrase"
-[keyword]

I have been doing this gradually over the last couple of days but I dont want to carry on doing this if it is not working in the way I think it should.

As an example I look to encourage search terms such as - shipping from the UK -

however from my point of view I want to discourage a search term such as shipping from Brazil to the UK as we are unable to service this type of enquiry.

In this example and I would therfor want to make from Brazil to negative search term thus: -"from Brazil to"
