Firstly, it depends on your market - what you're providing and to whom. Secondly, [I assume you already have a FB a/c] how many ads do you read on your page? Thirdly, you need to have a very good "call-to-action" on your website and make it very easy AND desirable so to do. PPC can quickly mount up and if you're not converting the interest ....
The market is the consumer one...
FB a/c...Yes.
C2A...Yes.
Managing/setting PPC campaigns...Yes.
Do you have any experience of FB?

Minimal on FB I'm afraid; tried putting an ad on there ages ago but without any success - but that could have been me. Have you considered Google's PPC? They have a tremendous amount of support and analytics.
You say B2C, so am I, but we're possibly aiming at considerably different markets; if yours is an under 30 market then FB is potentially better for you than me.
Thanks.
Familiar with Adwords. I use it a lot.
This is for a client who matches what you say above. Not used the Facebook advertising PPC system but I've heard of people who actively use it. Huge market on Facebook. Just prepping it up at the moment and thought the forum know-how may shed light before money gets spent. Always good to share knowledge they say.
Largely untapped. This is niche specific.
Any last words, any more advice.

Would be curious to hear how it goes skeeter.
We considered it, but when we asked a few friends who use Facebook what they thought, most of them hadn't even realised there *were* adverts on Facebook, which kind of put us off for a bit.

if you have budget enough for either Adwords or Facebook, which one would you go for? and why?
We have used ads on FB previously and was quite impressed with it and got some sales in. Saying that, haven't revisited it for sometime but as with all marketing plans make sure you target it at your target market. Sounds obvious but a sure fire way to get through your marketing budget quickly would be the scatter approach (ie try and market to everyone). From memory FB allows you to define the group you want to market to fairly accurately. We have used Adwords more often and find it easier to measure ROI with it.
What are the costs for Facebook ads? I have tested Adwords and are quite familiar with it, but facebook has a different user category, which makes it interesting.
