Default Yahoo Search Marketing

I notice (not unsurprisingly) that most of the posts in the PPC section are around Google Adwords.

I just wondered how many people here are using Yahoo Search Marketing or come to that any of the other PPC services available?

Not sure if this answers your question Mike...but Yahoo comes a fair way down the list. Perform for Google. Think Yahoo to pick up the leftovers!

I don't disagree with you. I was just curious if anyone is using Yahoo and how they have found it. It's always best to keep an eye on the competition as Google might slip one day!

I got a £50 free credit on Microsoft AdCenter, but I am struggling to use it up.

I am wondering if anyone actually uses Microsoft Search, at all, ever?

Anyway, I find their PPC slower and less intuitive to use than Google.

We rank really well on Yahoo for some of our KW's (equally as well as on Google) - but the traffic is only 7% of what we get from Google.

On that basis I would not consider a PPC campaign on Yahoo as the potential rewards would be too low to make the effort worthwhile

If everyone else thought the same, you could get some very cheap clicks on Yahoo. You just need to copy across your Google PPC setup.

I'd heard in a few places that the average price of a click can be upto a quarter of what it costs on Google. However, if it's only bringing in 7% of the traffic then in Ray's case it probably isn't worth it.

Hi we use them both for a limited number of clients but only those with high traffic competitive stuff. An example is a mobile content provider spending upwards of 60,000 euros a month but for the smaller campaigns not really worth it is the much lower clicks/conversions don't warrant the man hours needed to run the campaign effectively. Oh and gambling campaigns on MSN of course.
