Nationalofficeweek.com is making office life gorgeous every week through it’s groundbreaking new office website, and will come to life in major cities with a series of events and makeovers during National Office Week from 12th – 16th May 2008.
Office Workers are to be given their own virtual community with the launch of National Office Week and nationalofficeweek.com with its mission statement to make office life gorgeous.
Debi Arnold, Campaign Director of National Office Week (N.O.W) says: 'We have never had office life so good, compared with the 1850’s and the 1950’s – our country has really come a long way! It’s time to celebrate that fact, and for those that still don’t think it is, we hope to inspire and convert them throughout the year!
National Office Week will provide us with the catalyst to connect with office workers throughout the UK during the LIVE event in May, and the website will continue to provide them with a forum of gorgeousness thereafter. A site dedicated to office workers – that talks to them as humans and not job titles, identifying common issues and helping businesses and their staff to enjoy a better work environment – is long overdue”.
Nationalofficeweek.com provides a forum for office workers to earn points, network, upload photos, share information and experiences as well as providing an office industry voice to lobby and campaign on key issues affecting all office workers.
Nationalofficeweek.com houses 8 key areas to inform, motivate, entertain and connect office workers: Office News Express, the UK's favourite office newspaper has now made the site its permanent home; Community, a fully interactive area of forums, shoutbox discussion boards and photos; The Office Directory, listing key suppliers from corporate hospitality to vending, with the new Charged Up area for gadget and technology information; Lunchhour, including rolling news, entertainment, weather and travel feeds, on-line dictionary and thesaurus plus competitions, treats galore and wellbeing tips; the Stationery Cupboard offering direction and advice on the latest stationery products, complete with WISH LISTS. An area that is ideal for office managers whose job it is to ensure their department or their company runs at the optimum level of efficiency for the best possible price, and NOW Live, enabling users to register for The Times Crème Show at Londons Olympia May 13 – 15, register for their free GOODY BAG, or take a virtual tour of the N.O.W pavilion area, (for those that can’t attend the LIVE event, N.O.W is host to the UK’s first virtual stand).
The site will contain a fully rounded experience for users – from the light-hearted ‘pokey view’ competition to find the UK's worst office view (which will be made gorgeous), to a heavy-weight campaign to stop Britain putting the clock back every Autumn which aims to take a 100,000 signature petition to Downing Street.
Users to the site will be able to collect points for everything from becoming a member, to filling out surveys and entering competitions. Points will be redeemable against a host of sponsors office products, or can be donated to a charity of choice. Debi Arnold confirms “As the site develops we will look to constantly adapt it to the needs of our consumers.''
National Office Week and nationalofficeweek.com are sponsored by Basildon Bond, Bic, Datacopy, Leitz, Marks & Spencer Lunch to Go, Motif, Rapid, Sharpie and Stabilo. These are considered the super-brands of the office world, and have already been making office life more colourful for many years, with their ranges of resourceful and innovative office products.
