NCI Technologies Ltd, Cornwall’s first Microsoft Gold Partner are pleased to announce they have accepted the transfer of contracts from former Plymouth based IT company Staticburst.

Staticburst were the 3rd Company in the South West to achieve Microsoft Gold Partner status but are now under instruction from insolvency practitioner Valerie Neave of Benedict Mackenzie.

NCI who have offices in Penryn, and Plymouth have been expanding their portfolio of services since they started trading in 2004 and achieved finalist status in the Microsoft Worldwide awards held in Boston, USA for advanced network infrastructure in 2006.

“We work with small and medium businesses and schools throughout the UK to provide a level of expertise that takes away the pain of IT support and maintenance from our customers and allows them to concentrate on the things they are in business to do” says Andy Trish, Director of NCI. “We were approached by representatives of Staticburst and asked to rescue their customers when no other IT companies wanted to help and we were happy to assist. We understand the importance of continuous IT support and didn’t want other South West companies to suffer after the demise of Staticburst”

NCI has grown to a staff of 18 in just 4 years and are constantly on the lookout for great engineers, they currently have a vacancy for two server engineers in their Plymouth office in the science park.

“Although our expansion by acquiring Staticbursts contracts was unexpected at this point in time we are on a structured growth plan and will continue to invest in our people and our technologies at a rate that exceeds any other IT company in our field” says Andy. “We have big plans and the capital to succeed in an industry that is constantly developing”.

Forging links deep in the Microsoft circles, Andy Trish and Chris Penrose have just flown back from Houston Texas after attending the Worldwide Partner Conference, an event Andy has been guest speaker at twice. They were also guests at an exclusive launch event with Bill Gates in January 2008.

NCI not only provide a great service to their customers and partners but are also determined to improve the level of support offered by their competitors. Many smaller companies find it hard to gain the knowledge needed to provide a great service in all fields of IT so NCI have asked Microsoft to attend two events being held on 24th July at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall in Falmouth. The morning event will be 9 am to 12:30 pm which is for companies in the Southwest who want to learn about how they can benefit from Microsoft solutions using readily available software to enhance their business. The afternoon event is 1 pm to 6 pm and is designed for computer companies and accounting/ bookkeeping people to learn how they can work with Microsoft to gain better business for their companies. Both events will be delivered by Microsoft’s top team from Microsoft UK. The directors of NCI want to reassure all Staticbursts customers that the service they will now receive from NCI will be better than they have ever had previously.
