TV’s Antique Experts To Visit Newmarket Antiques & Collectors Fair
The success and prominence in the antiques calendar of the regular Antiques & Collectors Fair at Newmarket Racecourse, has attracted the attention of some of TV's most popular antiques experts.
Eric Knowles and Jonty Hearnden, with the team from 'Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is', will be visiting the fair on Sunday, 17th August, to film an episode of the programme, for broadcast on the BBC at a later date.
With over 200 stalls, the Newmarket Antiques Fair is one on the largest in the region, held at the historic Newmarket Racecourse, Rowley Mile. Bringing together dealers from throughout the UK and Europe, it regularly attracts several thousand visitors.
Peter Barrows, Director of Nelson Events Ltd comments “Since taking on this fair, Newmarket has grown in popularity and is a firm date in the antique enthusiast’s diary”. He continued “One of the main reasons for its popularity is the variety of items available. Not only are there the ‘classic’ antiques, such as furniture, but also a range of collectables, including stamps, toys and linen, 20th Century, such as radio’s and telephones, and, of course, Art Deco”.
The show opens to the public from 9.00am, closing at 4.00pm with an entrance charge of £3.00. Accompanied children, 14 and under, are admitted free of charge. Trade visitors can enter from 8.00am, for £5.00
