Default On-line training courses

Hi,
We are developing a series of on-line training courses based around the product development activities. We have just completed one on the FMEA tool and are in the process of developing a course for SWOT analysis.

The question is what other courses would be useful? All thoughts welcome.

Gary

A man after my own heart! I used to run one of the very early projects in what was then called Open Learning and we did some similar stuff to this.

One good one to consider is "Design of Experiments" which usually majors on Taguchi methodology.

Thanks. Design of Experiments is a good one, we'll add that to the list. Any more ideas?

Hi,
Thanks for the ideas. Below is an extract from our website that explains a little more about the FMEA tool.

The Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) tool forms the heart of robust product development. Developed from the engineering community the FMEA tool can be applied to any goods, services or processes that are being developed. The FMEA tool has also been successfully deployed in problem solving situations as it brings discipline and structure to the problem analysis.

The FMEA tool essentially breaks the product down into parts and considers the function of each part of the product. All the potential failures of each part are then reviewed and scored to give a set of priorities. The product developers can then change the goods, services and processes to avoid the potential failure from occurring. As the failures never occur the customers never experience them. The quality of the goods, services or processes are thereby improved.

I hope this helps.
Gary

Hi,
We've now added the on-line SWOT training course and are looking for further ideas. There must be some more good ideas out there. What course would you like to have?
