Well you've not asked for anything specific.. so.....

My overall thoughts were I wasn't 100% what the site was for:

"We are here to pull as many Wii based products into 1 place that we can!"

After reading that I wasn't sure if it was a shop, review site, affiliate site or just general links to news etc etc..

When I was adding a item I half expected to be forwarded to amazon etc.. which is what happened..

I think copy wise it need clarifying a little better.. but also if the home page was designed better it could do that too.

Overall, I like the layout, design and colour scheme. However:

    1. CSS doesn't validate - 2 errors.
    2. HTML doesn't validate - 17 errors and 18 warnings.
    3. 5 x Luminosity Contrast Ratio errors.
    4. 5 x Difference in Brightness errors.
    5. 13 x Difference in Colour errors.
    6. Site works well with CSS disabled - good.
    7. There is no alt text on image of girl using WII.
    8. Strictly speaking, images of text should have alt text that exactly matches the text on the image - there are several that don't.
    9. Major problem alert: The main sitenav (i.e. Home, FAQ, Contact and Search) has no alt text. This basically means that, if a user has images disabled - or uses a screen reader - then they have no way of reaching these pages!
    10. Your heading structure is not semantic as it is not nested correctly. There is <h1> followed by <h3> and then <h4>. There should be <h2>.
All of the above will pose problems for most VI users - including screen reader users. The loss of main site navigation affects all users.

Hope this help and if I can be of any assistance, please don't hesitate to ask!

I like the design. Clear nice and simple.

There is one thing that caught my attention though. When I put an item into the shopping cart the basket preview displays above the main menu, which makes me scroll to see al the categories and maybe add other things to the cart.

Also for the bestsellers list on the frontpage maybe a grid of icons would work better. A person's attention is attracted much faster by an image than by a piece of text. If you are looking for game X you'll probably notice its case image faster than you can find it in a list.

That's it for now. Is this an amazon aStore?

Default A few more bits and pieces

    Hi,

Overall I quite like the design of your site. Here are a few additional things I found.

    1. You need more content in general!

    2. The left side navigation could be jazzed up a bit more.

    3. There are no keywords in your keywords meta tag.

    4. The description tag relevancy to the main page is poor.

    5. There is no site map to please Google.

    Hope this helps - MD.

This may be a daft question, but if it is in association with Amazon, why is the amazon logo and layout not being used?

And if it is an amazon shop...which I presume is similar to ebay, why not just buy the goods from Amazon, which presumably would be cheaper than a third party?

    Hi Mike
    I like the layout of the site in general and the colours. Spotted a few spelling mistakes;

    Home page
Welcome to loveWi.co.uk - missing the second i in Wii
All you need to do is browse to the category - sounds a bit weird - think "All you need to do is click the category you wish to search and you are away" sounds better.

    FAQ page
regarding this please dont hesitate - change "dont" to "do not"

    Good luck with the site

Default When it comes to someones elses money I have to be 100% honest.

    Hi Mike.

I love the name, but like some of the others have mentioned, I am not sure what the site does.

Secondly its not engaging, it just does not draw me in or interact with me in any way.

I would advise that you grab a pen and paper and note...

    What is your target market?
What do you want them to do?
How can you get them to do it?
What type of graphics would they like?
What do your competitors sites look like?
What do you want the site to be famous for?
    What makes the site unique?
How are you going to make money from the site?
What is the easiest way to do that?

I would then suggest that you get a web designer who has RECENT agency experience to have a look and perhaps come up with something that might talk to the user.

It seems like your selling stuff through Amazon, so start looking at websites that sell the same stuff and see what works.

    AND REMEMBER.

You are not your customer, so leave your personal opinions at home and get out and ask some of your potential customes at the local youth clubs what they think.

Ask them what they would do when they got to the site... do not let them think about it, get the first answer that comes to mind, and ask them what they would do next.

Start planning some logical navigation, get a decent design and you could be in with a winner!

Nice clean site, but nothing that jumps out and grabs you.

My initial reaction was - why should I buy from you, rather than one of the big boys like Amazon or Play? (Now I have read your FAQ I understand a bit better - you are basically working like an Amazon affiliate, right?)

For something like Wii games, which I do buy quite a few of , I'd buy mostly on price unless there was a very compelling reason not to shop around, so I'd have thought you might struggle in this regard.
