    Hi

Just a couple of obs from quickly viewing your landing page
    1. There appears to be no hook. No benefits of why I should use you, what makes you better than the other 1000's, nothing to lure me into your site...
    2. The landing page structure is fragmented I am afraid. It has no flow and as such, when your visitor skins, there is no natural progression
    3. You have your 3 main lead blocks at the page end. On certain monitors, you would not see these and you may well click away without knowing they are there
    4. I would suggest removing "The Mytex on-line store" from your title tag. Unless you have a strong brand, no-one is going to search for that so use it wisely grasshopper. Put your PRIMARY keyphrase in there first. Remember rule one of SEO keyword usage...PROMINENCE
    5. Your newsletter sign up is inside BUT not on the landing page...any reason for this?
I do hope you find this obs useful and feel free to request any further details if you need them

    Thanks Katherine,

I did think of adding the price to the image but didn't want to put people off before they know what I offer!!! My products are not particularly cheap so it's essential that potential customers know how I add value. Does anyone feel I have done enough with the 2 lines at the top of the home page to make people understand that I don't just shift boxes but add value by assembling kit, pre-installing software and packing it ready to use? I just wondered whether me putting the price up-front without people actually understanding fully what I do would just increase the home page bounce rate!

I don't like these 2 lines at the top - they are factual but don't seem punchy enough to grab anyones attention. I think I need to revisit painfreemarketings copy advice to try to improve it. I must also be certain not to fall into the same trap as before and feel I need the words first to explain why my products really are great value - that's why I ended up with such a wordy home page to start with.

On balance, I suppose you are right though. I should add the price in.

Thanks for your ecouragement. I couldn't pay for the variety of good advice and comments I am getting here.

    Cheers, Tim.

    Cheers Daren,
You have really nailed it I think. Your point 1 is where my problem is (one of them). The fact of the matter is that there aren't thousands doing what I do. In fact, I can't find anyone else really. This is either bacause my idea/service is new and different and nobody else has really thought of it ....or it's rubbish and people with more experience than me believe it's not worth doing. (at least I am open minded about it.).

You have come back with that observation having seen the site and that indicates to me that I am still not getting the message across to my potential customers. Without me delivering that value for money message effectively in the first few seconds, you are right, nothing will tempt people to look further.

Point 2. Yes, I couldn't agree more. Would bringing the 3 lead blocks a bit higher so they are more readily visible on the home page help do you think? I could perhaps make the product slideshow and those 3 lead images smaller so a progression is more obvious. Having said that, the 3 lead images dont really do much other than more copy that tries to sell the benefits (I will be putting a slide show on these pages too now I know how). The progression I need to make obvious is to select the product options from the top menu, I suppose.

    Point 3 (see above)

Point 4. Yep, fair comment - will do.

Point 5. Couldn't work out how to do this in magento. Will revisit. There must be a way.

    Thanks, Tim.

Fair comment, and thanks for the feedback.

In reply...can your business afford not to (you just knew I would say that...)

    Good luck with your project.
