Overall, I quite like the colour scheme and layout. From an accessibility and usability point of view, there are a few things I picked up on:

    1. As you probably know, if an image contains text then the alt attribute should match the wording on the image. It's a minor point, but your main logo doesn't achieve this; a minor variation I know, but...
    2. Left column: The blocks containing "Our Services", "Pet Sitters In" and "Spread the Word" have small images, top and bottom, to give the boxes their curved corners. Strictly speaking, these are 'eye-candy' and, therefore, don't need alt text. In these circumstances, the alt should read: alt="". Your eye-candy has alt text of either "nina" or "nina's nannies".
    3. Your left hand block of "Pet Sitters In" is duplicated in the footer - is duplication really necessary?
    4. Your links all have a change of state on a:hover which is good. This could be extended for a:focus. This is particularly of value to keyboard-only users.
    5. Pages look good with CSS turned off. The only thing that spoilt if for me personally was that the eye-candy previously mentioned still showed up. It would be worthwhile to consider changing the eye-candy to a background-image.
    6. Pages look good with images turned off. When images are turned off, however, the white background becomes blue. Against the blue background the red text is difficult to read, even for someone without a VI.
    7. If JavaScript is disabled, the link in the "Spread the Word" goes to a blank page.
    8. Contact Form:
    • Consider introducing a change of state for form controls when they have :focus. Again, this helps keyboard-only users orientate themselves with the page.
    • All form controls are correctly labelled, apart from the "Enquiry" and "Enter Image Code" controls. A look at the source code reveals the reason; both controls are named incorrectly and don't match their respective labels.
    • CAPTCHA - Again, difficult to read even for someone without VI. Consider using ReCaptcha, or adding an audio alternative. You could even get rid of the distorted text and use just a simple question to verify. e.g. I use "Is fire hot or cold". I change it periodically and, providing it's kept very basic, find it to be an effective anti-spam function.
    • Errors on the form are returned to the user by means of an alert box, these are not visible to everyone. Consider error reporting next to the control in question.
I hope this helps you. As I say, I only looked at the site from an accessibility and usability perspective. If there is anything I can do to help, or if you would more information on a particular issue, I would be delighted to do anything I can.

    Cheers!

OMG Gary, I have not the first clue as to what you mean. You obviously don't know me well since you would not have blinded me with science

I will pass on your comments to my website provider. He is lovely and will perfectly understand what you mean

Ouch! Sorry, I sometimes forget which forum I'm logged into...

You appear to have a good working relationship with your designer which, considering the amount of cowboys out there, is brilliant! I know he will understand what I mean; he's already incorporated some good accessibility/usability techniques on the site. I'm sure these just slipped past him...hey, it happens!

    Good luck!

As your CSS validates I would look at this no point having CSS validate and not the HTML.

    Also check this out

Something I would do from an seo point of view, is change your footer menu to be 'Berkshire Pit sitters' rather than just berkshire, as iwould suspect no one looking for pit sitting in Berkshire would search just berkshire...

That's not just picking on Bershire either

oh just checked them and they seem to be fine. As stated above, both are part of the W3C Validation...search that on Google and you will get the website.
