Home page redesign .... again

Taking on board what Garath, Kay and the rest of the gang said I have done another redesign. Kay said about adding texture so it wasn't so flat looking and I may have gone a tad overboard with that one

Does this grab you? It is 8am so am off to bed, hope to have lots of opinions for when I wake up.

Woops I resized it for photobucket and it may have gone a little out of shape but you will get the general gist.

Feels good to experiment around a bit doesn't it? Thats the good thing with design, you never know how it will look until you have given it a bash.

Here you have done a fab job. I don't think that you should apply the theory to the Country Couples logo though. I think thats the "OTT" bit and you wouldn't want to change your identity.

Love the layout, buttons and the pics.

Can the top menu bar be spread out more so it goes all the way across?

Agree with AD - much friendlier now!

I like it - i would fade out the box borders like what Gareth did, as that makes it more open

Thanks for your feedback everyone.

Kay I knew something was OTT but mother now loves it and as she is paying for the changes it may be very difficult to get her to go back to the old CC text. Have emailed to try to persuade!!

The space on the button bar drives me nuts but no amount of arguing with the programmer will get him to change it. When members log in they see the logout button in the space and I have asked to move logout to a different place but then I get lots of geek speak, so I just live with it.

I love the faded out boxes Garath designed but we have 169 pages all pulling info from the same CSS files so I don't know which other pages would be affected. Have filed it away for if I have have the money for a full redesign and then can change all the pages.

So pleased you all like it and thank you for your comments and sticking with me while I go back and forth.

wow, that's a huge improvement Sally.

Flows nicer, feels nicer.

I like the repositioning of the buttons, and opening up of the main content area.

Really nice improvements for sure
