Its described as a search eninge - is that what it is or is it a directory? Does it pull pages direct from the web when you search on specific terms? Or from your own database of entries?

Agree, the main adverts are a bit of a distraction and that along with all the other Google ads, too many IMO.

I would consider re-doing the design and the layout to make it more user-friendly.

Thanks for the comments so far!

It is a search engine in that it pulls results from our regional directories & also some from google...

I agree about the adverts, will look at moving or reducing the ads...

The design is simple but still looking nice. It's also easy to navigate...
