Ease of use? any thoughts?

We have recently launched our site, see signature below

and would love some feedback on how easy it is to submit your business
Please add your business & let us know how easy you found it.

I would have given up before I could find where I submit, but I looked deeper for this purpose. This website assumes users will browse to the section before they try to submit. In reality of course they will want to submit first.

Users don't spend long enough on the page clicking to figure out how to use your website. A clear "submit your business" link in the navigation, and links on the homepage content, will help.

Well I listed two in the Northeast4u section.

Both under entertainment/ games.

Haven't appeared yet so don't know if accepted or not.

Could of done with some sort of message.

Like the site, but it could be a bit easier to work out.

Nice and clear look to the site, but as others have mention make it easier to submit a site

I too found it difficult to submit and would have left prior to submitting.

As an aside I would perhaps try to improve the look of the site and the logo - even just giving it a little breathing space would look better imo

I wouldn't have realised you could add a listing if you hadn't told us!

It was fairly simple to do.

My business is mainly internet based so can it be found by people who aren't in the South East?
Also there wasn't really a suitable category so I put it in health and beauty. Food and drink would have been better, why is there so rarely this category?? We all have to eat!!!

Thanks for all the replies so far.
Will make some changes to make it easier to submit your business.

Also for those wondering your sites will show up in the search results on all the sites, as you will find our UK search box on each Regional site.

Once again thanks to those who have submitted so far.

If you have submitted your business & it's not been approved, we do not accept all sites and reserve the right to refuse, e.g. affiliate sites, or sites under construction.
