Default any good?

Can anyone give advice on my website.....cannot link yet but
caution-signs dot co dot uk

Have been working very hard on it but have no sales yet (been 2 weeks), had a few enquiries but thats it for now.

All help and advice appreciated as I cannot see the woods for the trees at the moment, and a "customer" view would greatly help!

Thanks in advance...

Have a good weekend everyone, gonna be sunny

My first thought is that it looks like an 'under construction' error page that you find plastered on broken links around the net. If I wasn't running a specific search for your product then I would be worried.

The second horizontal rule (yellow and black bar) overshadows the text in the box above it.
Would you consider removing that, raising your menu bar (left hand side) to the top and placing the intro text to the right a bit more?

You have an interesting concept - marketing to the right target groups must be the fun bit. I have met some dour procurement people in my time...

This was NOT the impression we wanted to make!

But the 2nd yellow/black bar is easily fixed, a little moving around, not too much of a problem.

Unless I want 8/9 websites, there's not much I can do to "niche" each sign section.

Thanks for the advice....anymore for anymore??

Default Hi Miss D

I like your web site.
Easy to look at and functional.
I would contact by email all the Property and Facilities Managers at as many Universities and Colleges around. Also contact local councils. Perhaps also speak to/email as many Health & Safety officers in these venues.
They may not all buy straight away, but it will get your name out there.
P M me if you need any help breaking into the Scottish market.

Best of luck.

Alan

I like it - Glenn is right that the text in between the two lines is lost completely.

Site is easy to navigate and doesn't feel cluttered.

I have done a lot of H&S work and the site looks exactly as I would expect it to, not under construction at all. Visually it is sending the message I would expect when looking for caution signs.

Unless the logo is old and established I would consider changing the triangular sign for a red and white hazard warning sign, just to break up the yellow a little.

You have all the signs I would have wanted to buy when I was in industry and they are well laid out.

I can clearly see the deliver information on the right, which is good.

I can't find your company address, the phone numbers are 0845 and the about us page is blank, so a bit of a trust issue there.

Not sure if you are working on the site right now but while I was browsing the links sidebar on the left disappeared and became small black text links

When I first looked 5 minutes ago you had black and yellow hazard tape top and bottom of a yellow banner but now it's gone .......

Yes I like it too, just some tweaking required to finalise it.

Just gone into the shop bit and layout is completely different - are you using both, or just one?

Big thanks for the comments so far everyone! We are still working on the site so this information is great. And will get to work on Monday.

*Greensquid - we are using both, what problems are you getting with them being different? One person did the shopping part and one person worked on the messaging but we did try and keep the theme through both...as I said I cannot see woods for the trees at the moment as I have been working on it so wont see the obvious!
*jumbo137, any help you could give would be appreciated.

*I will go back through all comments and relate to the website, 0845 number isnt great but hopefully moving within the next 12 months so wanted to keep one number without having to change as moving (hopefully) out of the area. Credibility wise we are working on it....its quite difficult as the moment but getting there.

Anymore???
