I am just about to launch my blog, and wanted opinions first from the good people on here about how it looks and whether it works OK. Would you add a comment, or link to one of the posts if the content was interesting? I have uploaded some old bits of news for test purposes, the killer content can wait until the proper launch (first impressions, and all that).
The address: http://www.brighton-accountants.com/blog/
First impressions are that it is very white and a little hard on the eyes
I tend to leave comments on blogs as ling as the topics are of interest - not what the blog itself looks like (providing it is professional or from a reputable company)
Consider centering the blog - this will reduce the effect of the white and stick a border around the content
Just my opinion and hope it helps

I like the idea but think if you
1. centred it
2. made the image at the top appear once and not repeat (mind you I am on a 22" monitor).
3. IMHO the font is hard to read I would generally go for verdana content wise.
4. Perhaps a light border just to enclose it all.
All of your summary's end at the end of the sentence, therefore there is no very much incentive to click on to read the rest of it. We humans ae fearful creatures, and are more likely to take action if we're scared of missing out on something, so maybe consider ending the summary mid sentence.....

something like this
But this is just my own opinion.
I see what you mean, and I like your screenshot. I think screens that wide are in the minority, and the current layout looks better on today's mainstream resolutions, so I will leave it for now. I may well change things as you suggest next year when typical screen sizes have reversed. I can fix the header image straight away though.
