I've started a small community forum up for the area i live in & was wondering if you'd mind having a look at it & saying what you think ?
The Scottish Borders is quite a big area but the population is only about 100'000.
So i've found it a bit slow to get going.
I'd really appreciate it a few of you on here could maybe cast you eye over it?

Hey man, first impressions are good - although all the little icons are stealing the focus tbh

Try reducing the size of the icons and only having 1 icon per header?

apart from that looking good - looks professional

Very appealing site, well laid out. I might consider moving some things around a little depending on their popularity, but it is a nice attractive easy to use site.

What script have you used for that? or is it a bespoke site?

Shame there is no information about the Borders regional rugby team

Amazing that the SRFU let it go!

I know you wanted critisms!!..However, I shall leave the technical stuff to others, but I also quite like this from a look and feel perspective!! Of course, I would have liked it to include just a little further south, as I miss your audience by about 15 miles!!!!

when time allows i'll tinker with it, as long as you all found it easy enough to navigate ! but then you guys are used to forums i suppose.

Paul Norman it does include North Northumberland, thee's a couple on there from Alnwick.

Is there something like my site in your area ??
As i've not really found much like it tbh
There's a huge sheffield forum but no photos on it & no companies giving away prizes on it for say posting comps or picture quizes etc
I just find it a bit strange with that many folk on there business would be falling over themselves to promote their thing.

Ive a few business sponsoring my site & a couple have put up prizes for different things on the site.
It's quite easy to get free tickets to events to give away all i do is ask & help promote their event.

So do you know of others ??

Most people on Sheffield Forum want somethig for free, followed by something dirt cheap. The ads are cheap enough but surprisingly enough as you would think, they dont bring the results.
