OK, its not a site - but its a start - I'm doing CPS 2.0 - a bespoke website built by myself in asp.net, also uses CSS layout rather than tables even though its proving to be a pain in the anus - what was ever wrong with tabled layouts? less compatibility issues

Dont be shy...

Hi Shaun

I think you need to restrict the width of the page, or use 3 columns. On your screen shot, the lines of text are too long and the header looks a bit empty.

I also think you need a tag line at the top of the screen to say exactly what it is that you do.

What has happened to your logo? It seems to have acquired some visible diagonal shading issues.

Peter

Hiya Peter

The Diagonal lines are there because im not saving in full colour because of the filesize - the logo hasnt actually changed

It might also look a bit dispersed due to my resolution (1280x1024), according to my analytics data most people browse at either 800x60, 1024x768 or 1440 x 900

Do you think if I changed all te text to just products and a few advertisements people would get the gist of what the sites about?

Thanks mate

Could you post a link, so that we can see how it looks at different resolutions?

That would certainly help, but you have so much spare space in your header, you might as well add something about what or do or what makes your different.

I couldn't really tell what the site was about at first glance, have you considered adding an eye catching introduction telling people what you do? Maybe some more pictures would do?

The menu on the left sort of clashes, can you make the background a little lighter?

Hope what I will say will not offend you.
Maybe you can use a black background for it or maybe other
color to contrast the left panel. It was a little bit sore to
the eye. I like your logo but I think there is something missing.
And yes an image would do.
