both ranked high in my areas, which site do you like the best and why OR why not!

When you say outperforms, do you mean generates more sales or gets more traffic?

For me, honestcarpetcare is an easy winner. I can quickly understand what you're selling, and the site is nice to look at.

But I guess the other one might do better on search engines?

No, sheffieldcleaning gets far more return of leads and better quality returns (bookings) honestcarpetcare just brings in price shoppers.

My guess is that it's because cleaning is by its nature regional, so people contact you because you're obviously local.

Imagine what you could do with a better designed site on that domain

well if you stuck up an 0800 number and had some SEO done on the site you would do a lot better.

The reason I said this is that I made a similar site for someone and he brings in at least 2 bookings per week. The only difference being that his site has a more local name. (which would be like using the honest site on your sheffield name). I would have thought that it converts better because it's easy to navigate , has all the relevant information and the contact details are far more prominent - in fact I'd phone you if I live close enough

That said .. I didn't look around the Sheffield one very much at all as it looked a bit cheap and (dare I say) nasty, if you know what I mean.

I take it both get traffic from entirely different searches?
