    Default Website Review Forum Rules

    Hi Guys,

In order to clarify the Website Reviews section, below are a few guidelines:

    Asking for a review:

When asking for a review, please keep in mind the following:
    • Please give us a short background to your business
    • Let us know what you are trying to achieve with the website
    • What problems are you currently experiencing?
    • Do you want comments on a specific section, or overall comments
    • Please note that this forum is for reviewing your website, not the business idea behind it.
    • Please keep a thick skin when asking for a review. People will always find something they don't like, or point out something wrong when asked to review a website.

Posting in response to a review:
    • Please don't be un-necessarily harsh. Instead, try to be constructive and helpful at the same time - I know you can do it if you try!
    • Keep in mind that this is for reviewing a website, not the idea or concept behind it.
    • This isn't an opportunity to promote your own services (i.e. if you think the website needs a new logo, don't post offering to knock one up for £xx!)
    Rules Update, 3rd August 2009
With immediate effect, only A1 regulars and VIP members may start a new thread in this forum. Other users may view the threads and make a reply. For more information about the different types of usergroups we have here on A1, please visit the link below:

Does this also include just forums? Or does it have to be a full website, e.g Homepage etc. I have vBulletin running, so when you go to my site, you go directly to the forums.

The post is referring to website reviews, but if you want a review of your forum then that's ok.

You may post anything that falls within he forum rules and posting guidelines. Your post in website review forum was deleted as it was purely a spam post and not a website review request at all.

It is often better to have a Blog which feeds into a website. The benefit is that Blogs are indexed more often than individule websites. Does the review cover a Blog?

Not really, as a blog is not a website in that same sense for whya review is needed. Blogs are all much of a muchness not counting visual design which is subjective anyway.
