    Default Can't give it away!

Can anyone tell me where i am going wrong? I run a chauffeur car hire company in and around London. I have some of the cheapest rates and most amazing special offers in the UK and still find it hard to secure business or contracts. We are well recognised and only have the most professional chauffeurs and luxury cars available. See my website and tell me what is wrong please.

I've seen this request on another forum - were you hoping for different replies?

Looks good to me but to some the website might look a bit Lock Stock & two smoking barrels? A bit more colour might cheer things up a bit.

Thats a funny analogy but I think he's on the right track.

For a start there's more to 'securing business or contracts' than having a good website. All that can do is generate enquiries.

If your not converting enquiries you need to look into you off-line business approach etc. The two need to work together essentially.

BUT if you mean your not getting enquiries through the website I think it depends on your target market. The site does look very 'lock stock' as the above says.. Film premier, red carpet, celebrity etc..

But then you say you have the "cheapest prices" - well they don't mix - and especially as it also says things like "close protection drivers" "security"!

Who wants CHEAP protection? If I think *I* need protecting - *I* want the BEST - not the cheapest!

Without knowing more about your target market my *general* advice would be to change the colour scheme - or add one! AND add photo's showing REAL people.

But if it *is* close protection, body guard type work you specialise in - up your prices and ditch the contrasting things like weddings etc.

I cant see anyone in a high profile role that really needs protecting hiring what essentially looks like a glorified wedding chauffeur on the cheap!

I'm NOT saying that is what your are - BUT - that's what I get from the website.

The colour is not neutral - you either like it or loathe it.

It doesn't appear to feature in any top 20 serps - so perhaps you ought to consider getting some SEO advice.

It all depends on his target market. Look at what he's offering.

Personally I can't see too many Oil Billionaire Sheikhs looking in the local papers for high security limo's.

    Hi there,

Overall, your site is good, although in my opinion you need to change the colour scheme and reduce the size of the pictures at the top and move around them a bit. The fact you've got pictures is very good, but it's good to have the pictures backing up the content, not the first thing you see. If I were you I'd also make your pictures colour, and move away from the black background.

    Hope this helps.

I land on you page and I think

    funeral cars

I can't read the text, white on black

very bad for converting sales as people can't read this easily

    Need black on white ideally

I click off as the site doesn't look comfortable to read and I check out a cleaner site that also popped up in my Google search.

See how this company do it
    http://www.elitechauffeur.com/

They present a nice clear easy to read site

Meanwhile as well as noting specifically what you do for the client, sell them the lifestyle

Being chauffeur driven is a lifestyle only a few can afford, so dress it up a bit.

Ie, a pic with a guy and two attractive women either side, looking very happy, flirty and sipping Champers
    Good luck

Not this old chesnut! I just think you need your eye's testing or something!
