    Default Directories are DEAD?

I've read that google is changing it's search algorithm and I noticed that a lot of directories have now PR on the homepages but no PR on the internal pages. Even not 0 but no-PR/not-indexed. PHPLD almost all directories are like that.

    Any comments / ideas?

Perhaps this is due to cracking down on paid for links?? Regarding sites, i've seen two whole sites bomb out completely and are not indexed at all. Not mine so difficult to determine, but worrying nonetheless.

i'd rather not say. They are around 6 months old and i've been watching them occasionally doing site: and they are gone, operational but gone from Google. Might appear again but i've only ever seen odd pages drop out but to return.

So is submitting your site to directories of no use anymore then?

Submitting your site to a website that cares about promoting your business is still a good idea. Please don't scare away customers from using geniune website.

Thanks for that buyfromtheuk, but is it still good to submit to directories from an SEO perspective?
