Local business info appearing on Google

well if you go to the google search page and log into your account, it will list such things as google Business centre, etc and you click on that link to access your listings and edit them.

Although I think there is a misunderstanding in the last couple of replies I would like to mention that there is a risk in creating multiple listings in google local adds. If you do spot your listings being consolidated into one listing - dont submit more. It wont help.

You need one well optimised add in goggle local ads. - More than one is spamming.

I have had no problems with multiple listings and as they permit more than one I dont see why you can refer to it as spamming when the listings are not exact replications and even if they were, it doesn't matter and I have yet to see any issues arise because of it.

Is that what you meant by 'a misunderstanding'? I think you are misunderstanding what I am saying maybe?

If the listing isnt working, you can add another, and all she has to do is click to take the other out of the listings or remove it from the listings after the other one has appeared and is working ok but I wouldnt do that until the second listing is showing up.

In my experience I have been penalised for submitting multiple business listings in google local adds for the same business. So I always try to optimise one add to it maximum. The local ads in my opinion are weighted heavily towards area - which is really unfair - but focus your + keywords in your ad -in one ad works better.

how do you know you were penalised? Did they tell you?

The multiple listings got grouped together and only have one set of stats for all of them. I suspect this was a manual edit done by one of the google quality verification team.
