Who are your competitors so we can take a look?
Hi
Upto now I have always had different tittle tags for each page but i noticed my competitors all have the same tittle tags on each page. I thought this was a big no no but have had to give it a try to see if it works.
The key word is conveyor and conveyors the companies seem to use their name then the same tittles I have given it a go but not sure if I am risking upsetting google!! and when I looked at the site maps the tittle were exactly the same
Any coments

Title elements should be unique. If competitors are following bad practice capitalise on that!

You wont upset Google, but you wont be doing yourself any favours. I havent checked, but are these competitors all page 1 for those keywords?

Yeah exactly, as everyone else has pointed out - don't follow that practice!
Take advantage of their poor on page optimisation!
Same with Meta Descriptions - make them unique for each page. Titles and descriptions should always describe what is on that PAGe rather than what is on the whole SITE.
Leave them alone!![]()
Absolutely... if they are doing it wrong defintely don't follow them... but make the most of it by your site being done the proper way! Keep your titles unique for each page of your site... give each page a keyword focus if you can so each of your pages has the potential to show up for the different keywords in your niche.
Upto now I have been making all tittle tags, description and keywords unique to each page but I just cant get up there for the key words i want like conveyor, conveyors, pallet conveyor, and roller conveyor so I have just changed them today but not been picked up yet. Should I change them back or am I doing something else wrong that is stopping me getting to page 1.

It is not just about titles, it is many many elements to help Google rank your higher.
But obviously having titles, that match the content keywords is going to help move you in the right direction.
So you should stick with specific keywords per page.
I would remove your company name and use the additional space to place another keyword/phrase in it's place.
What sort of back links do you have? Do you have any?
Is you website as cleanly coded as it can be? Is there any coding that could stop SE bots from scanning all the way through?
Have you signed up with Google Webmaster Tools?
Have you signed up with Google Business Center?
There are possibly loads more questions, which will move away from your actual posting![]()
Try having lengthier keywords too, for a more specific target audience. Maybe try conveyors for a specific area.
