Hope everyone is well.

I was just wondering what major stumbling blocks people have when it comes to using SEO for their business.

Would love to hear them, so I (and I'm sure others) can address them here. It can be as small as you like - no question is a stupid question.

The biggest stumbling block is the Search Engines themselves!

One major stumbling block is that people building links for ranking rather than traffic purposes believe the line peddled out all the time that links must be relevant. Wastes them a whole lot of time.

The major problem I had when I started out was who to listen to. There are too many people repeating what they've been told rather than sharing what they actually know. People get misquoted and the message gets distilled, or shades of meaning become black and white through repetition. Separating the good advice from the bad and irrelevant can be tricky.

Stumbling block I've seen for other people is succumbing to the dark side of the SEO. Black hat methods lol

And like frantic fish said, there's a lot of nonsense out there.
