Thanks for your input guys - much appreciated.

I havent heard back from 'Direct News' with any user who is willing to talk me through their experience so I will put this on the back burner for a while.

One problem is that having spent 35 years in this industry I will be very selective about what I would want to publish through my website which would filter out a large volume of stories that 'outsiders' would think might be relevant to freight forwarding from my personal point of view.

However I do like the glossary idea which was part of my original plan and thanks for reminding me - much appreciated.

In the mean time I will persist in perfecting my PPC which does work really rather well and start link building.

    Cheersd

Hey Shipper, saw your post last week but only got round to joining the forum today.

Adding regular and unique news works really well on our website **snip**. Though we don't use Direct News, we use Newsvend (I mentioned your experience to Chris there who will be amused) and have done for more than two years. It's really helped my site in Google, that's for sure.

What is good about them is that they let me run the news for certain months, June through November, as we are a seasonal business - London Christmas parties. We may start earlier next year to concentrate on summer events. Gotta go - big night tonight.
