Note that should be tested and is very dependant on your current setup to whether it will work, and is written just off the top of my head so may not be syntax perfect!
However, I would suggest a better use would be to put upa page on info on the site, with backlinks to your main one.

That "better use" you describe is commonly known as Doorway pages, and highly frowned upon by the search engines.....
Also, just to mention "domain forwarding" often entails 302 redirects which are far from preferred when it comes to SEO. Ensure you are getting a 301 link to ensure weighting is passed on....

I agree about the 301 redirect. Doorway pages, used as I have described, are not a problem in the search engines. On a mass scale, maybe, but not on a few domains. It is simply another relevent backlink for the main site, and builds the strength of the new domain. This is not in anyway a blackhat, or frowned upon method.

I don't want to get into an argument, but making a page for the sole reason of getting a backlink IS blackhat whether you do it on a small or a large scale.....
Whitehat link building = generating content to produce relevant and quality link bait, generating links naturally with which you have no control over.
Im assuming you are keeping the original domain mame for your site and just want to point this additional new name to the site? If so once you have set up your hosting account you will have a function in there that allows you to forward the domain to your original domain/site.
